Who is behind this site

EveryPDF is built and run by an independent software developer in the EU. It is a one-person project — no company backing, no investors, no growth team. Just someone who works with documents every day and got tired of the way most online PDF services treat them.

Why EveryPDF exists

The idea came from a simple discomfort: to merge two pages of a contract, the usual online tools require you to upload the contract to a server you know nothing about, operated by a company you've never heard of, under a privacy policy you'll never read. For a lot of everyday documents — contracts, payslips, medical letters, application papers — that trade-off never felt right.

Modern browsers can do better. Today's JavaScript engines are fast enough to process PDFs entirely on your own device, so uploading is simply unnecessary. That is the founding principle of EveryPDF: every tool runs 100% locally in your browser. Your files are never transmitted, we couldn't look at them even if we wanted to, and there is no server copy that needs deleting. You can even switch off your internet connection after the page loads — the tools keep working.

How the site is funded

All tools are free, without accounts, watermarks, or usage limits. The site is funded through unobtrusive advertising. Ads never interact with your documents — those stay on your device, always.

What's next

EveryPDF is actively developed. On the roadmap: PDF compression, a browser-based PDF editor, page previews for all tools, and a German version of the site. If you're missing a tool or found something that doesn't work, tell us — feature requests from real users shape what gets built next.
