How to rotate PDF pages
- Open your PDF. Drop a PDF into the box above or click to browse.
- Rotate pages. Click a page to turn it 90° clockwise; click again for 180° and 270°. "Rotate All" turns every page at once.
- Apply. Click Apply Rotations to write the new orientation into a copy of the document.
- Download. Save the corrected PDF. The original file stays untouched.
Why PDF pages end up sideways
The most common source of wrongly rotated pages is scanning: sheets fed in landscape, double-sided documents where the back side comes out upside down, or phone "scans" taken at an angle. Mixed documents are typical too — a portrait report with a landscape table in the middle. Because this tool rotates each page independently, you can fix only the pages that are wrong and leave the rest alone.
Rotation is lossless
Rotating a PDF page does not re-render or recompress anything. The page's rotation setting is updated in the document itself, so text stays selectable, images keep their quality, and the file size barely changes. The rotation is saved permanently into the downloaded copy — it will appear correctly in every PDF reader, not just in this tool.
Good to know
- Each click rotates 90° clockwise; to rotate counter-clockwise, simply click three times (270°).
- Pages that already have a rotation (e.g. from the scanner) are handled correctly — your rotation is added on top.
- Your original file is not modified; you download a corrected copy.
- Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked before rotating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I rotate just one page?
Yes. Click any individual page to rotate it in 90° steps — other pages are not affected.
Does rotation affect the content?
No. Rotation only changes the page orientation. Text stays selectable and images keep their full quality.
Is the rotation permanent?
Yes. The new orientation is written into the downloaded file and appears correctly in every PDF reader.
Are my files uploaded?
No. The rotation happens in your browser on your own device — the PDF never reaches a server.
Can I rotate pages in different directions?
Yes. Every page is rotated independently, so one page can be at 90° while another is at 180°.
Is this free?
Yes — free, no signup, no watermark.
